Peter has been a commercial real estate broker since 1980. After working as a sales agent in Seattle, Washington for four years, Peter received his Colorado Real Estate Brokers license in 1984.
He began his Colorado commercial real estate career in 1984 with The Everitt Companies. In 1988, Peter became Vice President of Marketing and Sales for GT Land of Colorado where he specialized in land portfolio management and sales. He facilitated raw land through the entitlement process for residential, office, retail, industrial, institutional and recreational uses including the Harmony Market retail center and various residential subdivisions. Peter formed his own company, Kast Real Estate Services, Inc, in 1994, enabling him to expand his expertise to all areas of commercial brokerage. He eventually joined the Realtec team in 1999.
In 1986, Peter completed a rigorous course of study and fulfilled experience requirements to earn the prestigious Certified Commercial Investment Member designation (CCIM). Peter was also accepted as a Society of Industrial and Office Realtors (SIOR) member in 2002. SIOR’s are specialists in office and industrial properties and have achieved volume and educational requirements in their career.
Peter is an involved community member of Fort Collins. He has been, or currently is active in the Chamber of Commerce, the Foothills Rotary Club, the Northern Colorado Commercial Association of Realtors, the Fort Collins Community Foundation and the Evangelical Covenant Church. He is currently Chairman of the Larimer County Open Land Advisory Board.
